Joy was purchased  from Angie Ward, Britains Stud,  in 2011, as a prospective 'wife' for Henry (Trinityhouse Seahawk).

Joy had two foals by Henry - both were lovely fillies who were sold to North Yorkshire.  Joy was another pony with a wonderful temperament, which is so important for children's ponies, along with super conformation and movement - qualities which all her foals have inherited. She was, as her name, a joy to be around, the most gentle pony.

In 2019 Joy was presented to the KNN to be graded and approved as an outcross mare for Knabstrupper breeding, and graded with brilliant marks.  Despite having Champers as a foal at foot, she was a little over weight which affected her withers/topline/quarters marks, but she still obtained an overall premium of 8.

Joy was a consistent dam, producing quality LR/FR and PC ponies from a variety of stallions.  She produced four stunners by Norgaards Jason, the oldest of which was a dream to start under saddle and is consistently producing results on the flat and over plain and coloured fences.
